I notice in the link to the part numbers that the VE (20/16 incl N1) timing chain is specific, 13028-1N500.
Anybody know why it would be different from the SR20DE of similar years? I always thought this part was interchangeable or the same really.
What about the timing gears both crank and camshaft ones, are they the same for the VE and DE? |

I updated the thread you were looking for.
P11 SR20VE cam gears is the same with DE. P12 and 16VE ones are not.
Crank gear is the same.
Timing chain is ve specific could be the marks issue if size fits.
I was hearing noises but a new tensioner did the job. |

They're 20 thou / 0.5mm oversize. N1 pistons were never thought to be available oversize before.
